Deborah Fishman is the Director of Communications for The AVI CHAI Foundation. Previously, she was Network Animator for the PresenTense Group and Editor & Publisher of PresenTense Magazine. Deborah has a M.A. in Jewish Professional Studies from the Spertus Institute, was a Fellow in Israel Education at the iCenter, is a member of the ROI Community, and was named one of the “36 under 36” Jews making an impact in the NYC Jewish community by the Jewish Week. She previously worked with the American Zionist Movement, where she developed educational materials to promote dialogue on the meaning of Zionism today. She graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a major in Slavic Languages and Literatures and certificate in Judaic studies. During her years at Princeton, she was News Editor for the Daily Princetonian, Princeton’s daily newspaper, as well as President of PIPAC, Princeton’s pro-Israel group.
